Aggressive vs. Reactive

Aggression and reactivity 

You’re walking your dog down the street and across the street and you see another dog walking and it’s barking, lunging and maybe even growling. What is the first thing that comes to your mind? Oh that dog is aggressive. Or is it? A good number of dogs are actually reactive not aggressive. Let’s take that dog that you saw walking down the street that’s lunging, barking and growling. That same dog enjoys playing at the dog park and doggie daycare with other dogs. So that dog is really not dog aggressive, but more than likely leash reactive. With time and training this is a fixable issue.
