Doggy daycare is not an alternative to formal dog training. Let me start by saying I highly recommend doggy daycare, especially for high energy and super playful dogs. However, don’t think that you are going to take your dog to daycare and all the behavioral issues will be fixed. Or that they will learn how to politely interact with other people and dogs. I’m also not saying that your dog won’t pick up some good behaviors, but also don’t be surprised if they pick up some bad behaviors from other dogs. To get the most out of doggy daycare make sure you are building a strong training foundation with basic obedience training. Your dog will thank you.
